Toowong Rowing Club Receives Better Suburbs Grant
Fantastic news for the Toowong Rowing Club, which has secured a $10,000 Better Suburbs Grant to help replace the ageing wooden gates at its rowing shed.
This practical upgrade will make a real difference for the club and the many rowers who train, compete and enjoy spending time on the Brisbane River. Maintaining and improving local sporting facilities helps ensure community organisations can continue providing opportunities for people of all ages to stay active, connected and engaged.
Toowong Rowing Club has a long and proud history in our community, thanks to the dedication of its committee members, coaches, volunteers and supporters who work tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the club thriving.
A huge congratulations to Adrian, Katherine, Michael and the entire Toowong Rowing Club Committee, along with all members, coaches and volunteers, for their commitment to the club and the local rowing community.
Investments like this help strengthen local sporting organisations and ensure they can continue serving the community well into the future.
I look forward to seeing the new gates in place and the benefits they will bring to this much-loved local club.
Better Suburbs means stronger communities.
