Coffee with a Cop and Safe Plates Community Safety Event

Community safety is not just about responding to problems when they arise. It is about taking practical steps to prevent them and helping residents feel informed, connected and supported.

That is exactly what our recent Coffee with a Cop and Safe Plates community safety event was all about.

The event provided local residents with the opportunity to meet and chat with Queensland Police officers in an informal setting, ask questions, raise concerns and learn more about community safety initiatives over a cup of coffee.

At the same time, motorists were able to protect their vehicles by securing their registration plates with free one-way screws through the Safe Plates program. This simple measure helps reduce the risk of number plate theft and the potential misuse of stolen plates.

A huge thank you to Georgia and Jose from Queensland Police for joining us, sharing their expertise and taking the time to engage with local residents. Their willingness to answer questions and support our community helped make the event a great success.

Events like these demonstrate how small, practical actions can make a meaningful difference. By bringing police and residents together and providing simple crime prevention measures, we can continue building a safer and more connected community.
