It was a privilege to join Her Excellency the Honourable Dr Jeannette Young AC PSM, @qldgovernor, Professor Graeme Nimmo RFD, Deputy Chancellor Tonianne Dwyer AM, Vice-Chancellor Professor Deborah Terry AC, Minister @jplangbroek @drchristianrowanmp and the UQ community for this significant occasion.

Peter Varghese has given extraordinary service to Queensland, Australia and the University of Queensland, bringing wisdom, diplomacy, leadership and a deep commitment to education and public life.

A beautiful moment also recognising Margaret Varghese and the important role family plays in a life of service 🙌🏼

Peter was genuinely surprised with an announcement of a @uniofqld building being named in his honour 🏤
