A Little Community Upgrade at Biami Yumba Park

A little refresh, with a lot of community spirit!

After locals let me know the old community noticeboard and street library at Biami Yumba Park were falling apart, it was time for an upgrade.

A brand-new, two-sided community noticeboard and a charming new street library have now arrived at the Fig Tree Pocket park.

While it might seem like a small change, these shared spaces play an important role in bringing our community together.

The street library encourages locals to take a book, leave a book or share a favourite read, while the noticeboard provides a place to discover local events, activities and community updates.

It’s all about creating little opportunities for neighbours to connect, share and stay involved in what’s happening around them.

Thank you to the locals who raised the issue and helped bring this improvement to our attention. It’s always valuable to hear what matters to our community and identify the small changes that can make a difference.

Next time you’re visiting Biami Yumba Park in Fig Tree Pocket, stop by, check out the new additions and perhaps find your next favourite book!

Making Brisbane’s lifestyle even better, one little community improvement at a time.
