CCTV camers in Perrin Park

Sadly my office has recently received an increase in growing concerns of antisocial behaviour at Perrin Park 💔

Many in the community have raised with me directly and @qldpolice have also reported recent incidents. 🚨

In response, I’ve advocated for a CitySafe mobile security camera, which would feed directly into Council’s extensive network of 3,800 CCTV cameras. This will help improve safety, deter offending, and support police in their work. 🎥👮‍♂️

You may have noticed, Council has already invested in additional lighting at this location, in the Perrin Park 🐶 dog off leash area.

In good news, Council has now assessed the park location and approved a suitable site for the mobile security camera and I’m looking forward to seeing this 📹 camera in place next year.

These commitments help keep our community safe and protect Brisbane’s incredible lifestyle. 💡🌿
