Woohoo 🎉 this year, in our local suburbs, we are celebrating 7 incredible female-founded business recipients in the 2026 Lord Mayors Women in Business Grant.

Joining @brisbane.lordmayor it was such a pleasure to meet Emma Thomson from @pitchitup.cricket to learn more about her innovative cricket training business.

Seeing firsthand how she’s developed an audible cricket ball to make the sport more inclusive for blind and low-vision players was inspiring 👏🏏
