Pickleball is coming to Perrin Park
Toowong is about to get its game on… pickleball style! 🏓🌟
After extensive community consultation, where racket sports came out as the number one preferred use for the old Toowong Bowls Club site, Council is moving ahead with new pickleball courts at Perrin Park. I am so excited to bring this fastest growing sport to our local community.
Here’s what’s coming:
• three new north–south facing pickleball courts
• located in the south-west corner of the former bowls lawn
• standard blue surrounds, lighter blue courts, maroon kitchen area and white line markings
Works started today, with the formal construction window scheduled in the coming weeks, weather permitting. Works will occur between Monday to Friday, 7am–5pm, and the area will be safely fenced off during this time.
We anticipate minimal disruption for park users, and council’s 24/7 contact centre will have all project details if you have any questions.
This is another great step in making our Brisbane lifestyle even better. 👍🏼
Creating more active, social recreation opportunities for everyone.
Can’t wait to see the pickleball courts serving up loads of fun at Perrin Park! 🏓✨
