100 Years of St Lucia Golf Links

A hole-in-one for Brisbane history! ⛳️✨

What an honour to join The Right Honourable @brisbane.lordmayor Adrian Schrinner for the special unveiling of the centenary plaque at St Lucia Golf Links, marking an incredible milestone for this much-loved public local treasures.

St Lucia Golf Links has been part of Brisbane’s history for 100 years, first opening its original nine holes on 3 July 1926.

Over the past century, it has made an incredible contribution to our local community, bringing together golfers, families, friends and locals across generations 🏌️‍♂️💚

The centenary celebrations have been a wonderful tribute to that history, with BCC Brisbane Greeters assisting with sharing this valued history.

From its beginnings as a private course designed by Dan Soutar, with later advice from legendary architect Alister MacKenzie, St Lucia Golf Links has grown into Brisbane’s premier public golfing and dining destinations and of course, home to the iconic @hillstonestlucia and @hundredacre.stlucia

This milestone also recognises the important partnership between @stluciagolflinks and @brisbanecitycouncil in preserving and celebrating this special place for our community 🙌🏼

A century of golf, community, stories and memories and still going strong🏌️‍♀️

Making Brissy's lifestyle even better⛳️
