Indooroopilly Bikeway Project

Connecting the Western Freeway and UQ.

In early 2025, residents shared their active travel experiences to help guide planning for the Indooroopilly Bikeway.

Local feedback and data showed a strong desire for safer travel along Wilton Road and Lambert Road.

A bikeway along Witton Road and Lambert Road would fill a missing connection in Brisbane’s cycling network.

Ways we are improving safety:

• Dedicated cycle paths

• Better separation between travel modes

• Safer pedestrian crossings

The current concept includes a bi-directional bikeway along Witton Road.

Design work is continuing.

Construction funding for the bikeway has not yet been secured.
