National Tree Day

Planting today, growing tomorrow ✨

National Tree Day @nationaltreeday last Sunday 26th July brought locals together at St Lucia Golf Course to plant new trees, care for this special space and help grow a better Brisbane for generations to come 🌱

Together, we added 300 native trees, shrubs and ground covers to help create habitat for local wildlife and support a healthier catchment 🌿

Led by the amazing Cubberla-Witton Catchments Network (CWCN) and the St Lucia Bushcare Group, this community event was proudly supported by @brisbanecitycouncil through the Environment Grant Program, and the Walter Taylor Ward 🌱

A huge thank you to everyone who came along, got involved and helped make a difference. Every tree planted is an investment into a more sustainable future we’re creating together 🌳

I love seeing locals working together to protect and enhance the places we all enjoy.

Together, we’re keeping Brisbane beautiful πŸ’›
